A Beautiful Surprise!
How did you meet?
“We met in high school and started dating January of our senior year”
How did you get engaged?
The proposal was very much a surprise – “My cousin Pam is a photographer and we both modeled for photo shoots in the past. So, when she reached out to me to ask if we could do another, I thought nothing of it. Little did I know, Jeremy had planned this as a surprise to document him proposing to me. We took some pictures as normal, but at one point Pam set us up for a shot she wanted to try which had my back to them, when I turned around Jeremy was on one knee and Pam got to capture the whole thing. It was such a surprise and so beautiful. After that we got to take some actual engagement shots, Pam even brought a bottle of champagne for us to pop open, it was so fun.”
Special Moments
Did you have any special moments?
“My first look with Jeremy and reading our personalized vows to each other on the covered porch of The Brownstone Haus while the rain came down around”
“I loved that we booked a big house for the weekend instead of staying at a hotel. My family stayed there with us and it was such a good gathering spot before and after the wedding. We all got ready there, took pictures there, and had a special toast there delivered by my mom in the dining room. The “Brownstone Haus” was beautiful and will always have a special place in our hearts.”
Intimate and Warm Ceremony
What was your favorite part of the wedding ceremony?
“Jeremy’s best friend and business partner Ryan actually married us, so that was special. We also didn’t have a wedding party because I wanted to keep things simple, so just our parents/siblings walked down the aisle. Looking back on the pictures of the ceremony I love that it was just up there at the altar.”
Fun Reception
What were your reception Highlights?
“The ceremony and reception were held in the river view event room at the Frankenmuth brewery. It was a beautiful room with floor to ceiling windows surrounding most of the room and looked out over the river, it had exposed brick and natural decorative details that made it so pretty we didn’t need a ton of decoration.”
“The food and drinks were all provided by the venue, everyone loved the food, especially the salmon. People had a choice of beef, chicken, or salmon. We had an open bar and since it was at a brewery they had a bunch of their own beers on draft.”
Danced All Night
“Our Dj. David Charles events was great! Literally everyone danced and had a great time. Some of our friends went so hard and danced all night it was so fun. We kept it pretty simple with the “traditional wedding dances” we did our first dance to Chris Stapleton’s “joy of my life”, daddy daughter dance and mother son dance. We wanted our guests to just focus on having a good time. My favorite part of the reception was standing to the side with Jeremy and just watching our friends and family dance and have a good time and my other favorite part was dancing with my 88 year old grandfather, that’s a memory I’ll always cherish! Of course Pam being the amazing photographer she is got it on camera!”
